BIT Mesra Invites Applications for UG Programs

Applications are invited by Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra for admission to full-time four years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc-Hons.) in Animation & Multimedia offered at Jaipur campus, three years Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Business Economics (BBE) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) programs offered at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur, Noida and Patna campuses for the academic year 2013-2014.

Eligibility Criteria for BIT Mesra:

• For B.Sc (Hons.) Program: Candidates must have passed class 12/equivalent qualifying examination with 50% for general candidates (pass for SC/ST) are eligible to apply.
• For BBA/BBE/BCA Program: Candidates must have passed class XII*/equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply.

Note: *The percentage of marks in class XII/equivalent qualifying examination shall be considered on the basis of the board’s calculation of percentage for the award of division/degree/certificate.

How to Apply for BIT Mesra:

• For B.Sc (Hons.) Program: A crossed demand draft of Rs.1200/- (Rs.800/- for SC/ST candidates) in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology”, payable at Jaipur (Note: Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances).
• For BBA/BBE/BCA Program: Candidates must send the printout of the completed form along with:
  • two recent color photographs
  • photocopies of all mark sheets and certificates
  • crossed demand draft for Rs.2,000/- general (Rs.1,200/- for SC/ST) candidates (nonrefundable) in favour of ‘Birla Institute of Technology’, payable at Ranchi.
  • send in a A4 size envelope by speed post/reliable courier (means by which sender may track its movement on internet) to the office of Dean, Admission & Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi-835215, to reach positively by the due date.

Selection Procedure for BIT Mesra:

• For B.Sc (Hons.) Program: Candidates will be shortlisted for counseling, aptitude test and interview on the basis of their marks in class 12, and fulfill the eligibility criteria.
• For BBA/BBE/BCA Program: The provisional admission will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in class XII/equivalent qualifying examination (QE).
