The premier B-School XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management- Bhubaneswar)has increased the duration of its one year global management program to two years. This full-time Global MBA leadership program has been introduced from the current academic session 2013 and it will have 3 terms in each year. As per officials of the B-School, this step was taken by the XIMB governing body.
The 1st year will be in the 3 continent Master of Global Management (3C-MGM) format, spanning Asia, Europe and USA. Students will spend four months each at Antwerp Management School in Belgium, XIMB and Fordham Graduate School of Business-New York. In the first term, the students will be at Antwerp management school from September to December. In the second term, students will spend four months from January to April at XIM-B and the final term at Fordham Graduate School of Business from May to August.
In the second year, the students will study at the Xavier University comprising three terms. Admissions for this program are open till June, 2013. Students will be selected based on the XAT/CAT/MAT/GMAT scores and a personal interview.
This program attempts to provide global perspective to the students of XIMB by building international leadership and skill sets to meet global challenges. The students will get the opportunity to be exposed to the corporate world in Belgium and gain access to a diverse financial spectrum in New York. By doing this they stand to gain social value for global economic development through value based international education at XIMB.
The program is expected to have the participation of 20 students each from the US, Europe and Asia, including India. Key courses include global strategy, international law, global marketing management, Indian business management, innovation management, business simulation, integrated performance management and business perspectives in the European, Indian and American contexts.
