Jaipur National University Ph.D Entrance Test 2013

Jaipur National Univeristy (JNU), Jaipur has announced the exam dates for National level Ph.D Entrance Test which will be held in the month of January 2013. The entrance exam for Ph.D will be conducted on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Jaipur National Univeristy (JNU), Jaipur conducts Ph.D entrance exam for taking admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in various specializations for the commencing session 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D Entrance Test

Candidated with minimum of 55% marks at the PG level in the aggregate are eligible to apply.

Application Procedure for Ph.D Entrance Test

• Application form and other rules are available on the univeristy website www.jnujaipur.ac.in.
• A demand draft of Rs.1050/- payable at Jaipur National Univeristy, Jaipur should be enclosed with the application form.

Paper Pattern for Ph.D Entrance Test

• There will be one common question paper for admission to Ph.D programs for all disciplines.
• The question paper will be in two parts – Section A and Section B.
• Section-A will have 50 objective type questions on General Knowledge, General Awareness, General English, General Science etc., each question of 1 mark.
  • For answering questions of Section-A, the candidate will be provided a separate Response Sheet/OMR sheet along with the question booklet . Each question will have four options and the candidate will be required to put cross mark X in the appropriate box in the given Response Sheet/OMR sheets with blue pen (not with pencil) mark.
• Section-B will also be of 50 marks .This section is intended to judge candidate’s research aptitude .The candidate will be required to write a detailed note on his/her proposed research project. The answer to the question in Section-B should include the following points:
  • Tentative title of the proposed research proposal
  • Justification for taking up the proposed research work
  • Detailed write-up on the research work to be undertaken
  • Research methodology/techniques you plan to adopt for pursuing the proposed research work
