Preparation tips for NEET-PG
As NEET-PG is making its debut this year, the batch taking the exam
must be wondering on how to prepare for the exam. To help the students
we are providing here some preparation tips:
1.Students should prefer referring their notes instead of AIPG and
AIIMS question bank. Students are advised to study from notes and text
books instead of cramming the guide books.
2. During revision, more focus should be given on para and pre
subjects. Pre/Para subjects are expected to play an important role in
securing a rank in merit list.
3. High importance should be given to subjects such as surgery, medicine, gynecology, OBS and pediatrics.
4. Candidates should keep ready reckoner or last minute revision
courses as it would help them to go through the missed out topics.
5. Students should attempt all questions as there is no negative marking.
6. Candidates should not devote much time to medicine as there will be only 21 MCQs from the topic.
7. Do not ignore first and second part subjects as they are more important.
8. Remember that rank will be decided by small and tricky subjects.
9. A hand on training in computer is advisable. Students should take
online test offered free of cost by many websites. Students should
practice on increasing their speed as well as accuracy.
10. In these last few days, candidates should revise topics such as
Medicine (CNS, Endo), Pathology (initial 5-6 chapters from Robins small
book), Medicine (CNS, Endo), Pharma (recent drugs) and PSM (changes in
NHP’s, recent advances, vaccines).
11. One should not go into detailed study but give a quick glance to all the topics studied.
Last but not the least; write your exam with a clam and positive
attitude. Though you are among those writing this exam for the first
ever time, be confident about your preparation.
All the best!!
