Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad has announced the exam dates for Ph.D Entrance Test which will be held in the month of January 2013. The entrance exam for Ph.D will be conducted on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad conducts Ph.D entrance test for taking admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in the areas of Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Developmental Biology, Nanobiology, Plant Molecular Biology, Protein Structure & Function, Biology of Macromolecules, Biology of Infection, Epigenetics, Chromatin Biology and Bioinformatics for the commencing session 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D Entrance Test

• Candidates with master’s degree in any branch of science having a valid National Level Fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g., CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, etc.), DST-INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowship can apply.
• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Pharmacy qualified in GATE/GPAT examination with a minimum of 85 percentile may also apply.
• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Medicine can also apply.
• Upper age limit is 28 years as on 7.12.2012 which is relaxable by 5 years as per GoI rules for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped candidates.
