Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM-R)
has successfully concluded summer internship placement process for its
PGP batch of 2012-14. A batch of 125 students across multiple domains
participated in the summer placements process. The students with an
average work experience of 36 months were offered niche and unique
profiles across different domains. The highest stipend offered on campus
was INR 1,00,000. Indian Institute of Management Rohtak maintained its
impeccable track record by ensuring excellent placements with 53
recruiters making internship offers spanning across different verticals
in a short span of time.

Sectoral Break Up:
Marketing:
Breaking all the myths, 27% of the batch with an average work
experience of 36 months was placed in the Marketing domain. The
recruiters offered profiles spanning across marketing research, services
marketing, brand strategy, sales, rural marketing, B2B marketing,
advertising etc.

Dabur, Tata Motors, 3M, Becton Dickinson, MTS, Berger Paints, Future
Brands, Anchor, McCann Erickson, DraftFCB ULKA, Ashiana Housing, CTI
Shipbrokers India Pvt Ltd., Alstom, Jindal Steel & Power Water
Health India, LPS etc.
Finance:
Not with standing the relatively grim economic scenario, IIM Rohtak
attracted quite a few major companies in this domain. With several new
recruiters such as Mahindra & Mahindra finance, NCDEX and i-Ventures
Capital, 26% of the batch was placed in vivid and challenging profiles
in Finance such as econometric modelling, investment banking, corporate
finance, trading, retail banking, project finance, equity research, risk
management, treasury.

General management:
The summer placement this year at IIM Rohtak witnessed a surge of
aspirants for general management roles. Few of the new recruiters
offered internship projects related to business expansion.

IT/Operations/Strategy:
Operations’ profiles were offered by various corporates across the
industry. Strategy profiles offered were related to finance and
operations domains, while few offers were made in IT consulting domain
as well.

Somany Tiles, Aerosoft, Titan, I-Max Technologies, Indofil chemicals,
