VBRET 2013 Exam Dates

Vinaya-Bhavana (Institute of Education), Birbhum has announced the exam dates for Visva-Bharati Research Eligibility Test (VBRET 2013) exam which will be conducted in the month of February 2013. The VBRET entrance exam will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013.

VBRET is an entrance exam conducted for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in various disciplines of Education and Physical Education under Vinaya-Bhavana (Institute of Education) for the commencing session 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for VBRET 2013

• 55% marks or equivalent grade for General/OBC candidates and 50% marks or equivalent grade for the SC/ST candidates in concerned master degree (Education, or Physicla Education) of two years duration.
• In case of M.Ed degree holders, the candidates should have passed master degree in any other disciplines of two years duration with 55% marks each for tjose belonging to general/OBC category and 50% marks each for those belonging to SC/ST

Application Procedure for VBRET 2013

• A candidate shall have to apply in the prescribed form available at the office of the Principal of Vinaya-Bhavana, paying requisite fees (Rs.400/- in case of General/OBC candidates and Rs.140/- in case of SC/ST candidates) through cash coupon in the university cash counter or through demand draft drawn in favor of Accounts Officer, Visva-Bharati.
• The filled-in prescribed application form should accompanied by attested copies of necessary documents/testimonials and write up (about 1000 words) on their respective areas of research interest with a broad title may be sent to the Adhyaksha of Vinaya-Bhavana (Institute of Education), Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan - 731235, West Bengal.

Paper Pattern for VBRET2013

VBRET will be conducted on a total of 100 marks with the following three question papers:

• General Research Eligibility (GRE) is 25 marks
• Discipline Research Eligibility (DRE) is divided into 2 papers i.e DRE Paper I - 25 marks and DRE Paper II - 50 marks.

Duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
