Dr.D.Y. Patil University Invites Applications for B.Tech/M.Tech Programs

Applications are invited by Padmashree Dr. D.Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai for admission to four years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, two years Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics and five years Integrated M.Tech in Biotechnology programs for the academic year 2013-14.

Eligibility Criteria for Padmashree Dr. D.Y Patil University:

• For B.Tech Program: The candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission. Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board, securing minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (PCMB) and English as a subject is compulsory.
  • Candidates with Mathematics will be considered eligible for B.Tech Bioinformatics/B.Tech Biomedical Engineering courses. The scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and OBC students shall have relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.
• For M.Tech in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics Program: A graduate student having completed any of the following with minimum 50% marks in B.E/B.Tech Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Chemical Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Bioprocess Technology/B.Pharm/M.B.B.S/B.D.S or M.Sc and equivalent are eligible to apply.

• For B.Tech & Integrated M.Tech Program: The All India Entrance Test-B.Tech 2013 (referred to as AIET-B.Tech 2013) is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to B.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biomedical Engineering) and M.Tech Integrated in Biotechnology at the department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics.
• For M.Tech Program: The All India Entrance Test-M.Tech 2013 (referred to as AIET-M.Tech 2013) is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to M.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Pharmacoinformatics) and M.Sc (Genetic Engineering/Biotechnology/Environmental Biotechnology/Food Science and Technology) programs conducted at department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics.
