ISB’s (Indian School of Business)
Wadhwani Center for Enterpreneurial Development is putting their
efforts on an initiative known as “Start Up First”. This initiative aims
at helping the aspiring entrepreneurs to take up entrepreneurship roles
and experience it.
It took over
one year for the idea to get conceptualized after discussions with ISB
students, external entrepreneurial community and alumni entrepreneurs.
The initiative will also help start-up entrepreneurs to employ the
suitable talent who can contribute in the growth of the venture.
The objective of the “Start Up First” is to promote entrepreneurship
among people of all sectors in and outside ISB. It will help students to
know finer points of start-up ventures, understand the overall
entrepreneurial ecosystem in depth and prepare entrepreneurs to gain
operational management skills in a better way.
The initiative will enable institute to play a key role in fostering
the growth of new and upcoming businesses and promote and grow
entrepreneurial aspirations of the students.
Over 200 ISB alumni have become entrepreneurs in past 11 years and are
now running their ventures successfully. Previously, ISB’s
Entrepreneurship Development Imitative had played a key role in
nurturing and guiding some successful start-ups.
