The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS-Delhi) has concluded the summer
placements for the year 2012. 170 companies have confirmed participation
of which finally 95 companies have participated.
210 students have
participated in the placement process all of them were placed, majority
of the students (39%) were placed in Sales & Marketing domain. 29% of students
bagged placement offers in Finance sector in roles such as Investment
Banking, Private Equity, Treasury, and Financial Markets. Morgan Stanley
hired from FMS for the first time for its Front End Investment Banking
profile. Legacy recruiters like Standard Chartered and Deutsche Bank
opened their lucrative Financial Markets profile at FMS, thus
testifying the quality that was on offer.
23% students were placed in
Consulting domain, companies which hired aggressively are Deloitte,
Capgemini Management Consulting, ICRA Management Consulting, KPMG,
Nodwin Consulting Redseer Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
9% of the students were placed
in HR & Operation domain, the presence of Asian Paints,
Bristlecone, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages and Valcon Consulting, all
of whom hired interns for the first time from FMS Delhi. Flipkart and
American Express also hired students for their operations profile. There
were lucrative options on the HR front for the students from various
companies which included Michael Page, BASF, Vedanta, GAIL and UTI.
