Kolkata, Nov 14:
The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C), will sign a
partnership agreement with CEMS, an alliance of 28 leading business
schools across the globe, on November 30.
The tie-up will enable IIM-C to offer Masters in International
Management (MIM), which is one of the most coveted programmes of CEMS,
to its select students.
CEMS was earlier known as the Confederation of European Management
Schools, but the nomenclature changed recently when it decided to open
its doors to elite B-schools beyond Europe.
The London School of Economics, HEC France, Essade Spain, HKUST Hong
Kong and Richard Ivy from Canada, among others are members of CEMS.
According to Professor Ashok Banerjee, Dean, IIM-C, students selected
for the programme will be able to bag both PGDM degree from IIM-C and
MIM degree from CEMS.
“Our main focus area is on internationalisation of our institute and we
are proud to announce that we are the only business school in India to
partner with CEMS to offer MIM programme. We have three years
exclusivity arrangement with them,” Banerjee said at press meet on the
occasion of the closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebration of
IIM-C here on Wednesday.
