The 2012-14 batch of agri-business management course (PGP-ABM) in the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)
witnessed around 20 firms extending internship offers to all 43
students of the batch, a release from the B-school’s student placement
committee said.
Of the nearly 20
companies that took part in the placement process, the committee said,
there were 9 companies which visited the campus for the first time for
internship recruitment. The participating companies offered roles,
which included Agricultural Inputs, Banking, Consulting and Advisory,
FMCG and Plantations.
Notably, 5 students chose to stay out
of the main summer placement process, in order to pursue their interest
in the developmental sector by working with Jeevika, the Bihar Rural
Livelihoods Project, as per the committee report that was released on
Monday, November, 12, 2012.
